I.-sa, -se, -sanemphatic pronominal particle attached to personal pronouns and to nouns preceded by the possessive pronouns: mi-se, I myself, thu-sa, sibh-se, i-se (she), e-san, iad-san; mo cheann-sa, a cheann-san, his head. So also modern Irish, save that esan is ésean: Old Irish - sa, -se (1st pers.), su, -so, pl. -si (2nd pers.), - som, - sem (3rd pers. m. and n., sing., and pl.), -si (3rd pers. f.).
